Are you staying at a place in Puerto Jimenez that doesn't offer you the tropical experience that you were expecting while visiting the Osa Peninsula? No worries because Chosa Manglar Nature Retreat offers morning, afternoon, full day as well as night passes, so you can relax and view local flora and fauna during the day and evening. We have over 4 acres of land bordering the creek, mangrove, pasture, and forest that is home to many species of Osa wildlife. We offer an outdoor garden area with picnic tables and amazing opportunities to see local flora and fauna. The garden offers a 300 MB Fiber Optic connection to our WIFI and a small internal trail as well as ponds for relaxation amidst a tropical setting. You may park your car for free during your visit and even rent a locker for your personal belongings if you wish.
Many animals can be seen on our property, one might encounter the following animals while visiting, Scarlet Macaws, several types of toucans, 4 species of monkey, kinkajous, coatis, raccoons, armadillos, anteaters, squirrels, hawks, sloths, ocelots, crabs, butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, frogs, snakes, lizards, crocodiles, geckos, and iguanas. We are listed as a birding hotspot by e-bird, with 90 species recorded to date.
Have a picnic on site. Visit the supermarket right across the street and buy your goodies, set up your table, and enjoy, or if you prefer order lunch from one of the local restaurants that offer service in our garden. We guarantee that lunch outdoors in the gardens can be a wonderful way to spend a few hours.
Enjoy Costa Rica for the reason you came, namely the flora and fauna. That's what we're all about, but don't take our word for it, come, and see for yourself. Recycling bins on-site as well as WIFI and a parking lot.

Quiet Time = 12 pm to 1 pm, only Full-Day Guests are permitted during Quiet Time. NO EXCEPTIONS.
